Rejoice in the great tradition of A Cappella church music, a tradition that extends throughout history and far beyond just Churches of Christ.  Listening to and participating in the singing of songs, hymns and spiritual songs has a way of stirring our hearts, lifting us into the presence of God and binding us together in a way that few experiences can.

 

University church is a singing church.  This Sunday we celebrate this gift of God through old songs and new as sung by the entire congregation and by special groups.

 

Danny Claiborne and others will lead us in congregational singing.  We will also hear the “Church Ladies” and “The University Singers.”  The popular quartet, “Holy Ground” will also sing.

¨ Begin your holiday season by sharing in a special fellowship time with our MSU students.  This will be the first time for some of our international students to experience this unique American holiday.  Your presence and friendship toward our students can make it extra special for them. 

 

¨ A list of menu items is posted on the library window if you can help with the food.  We have a few remaining lines to be filled in.  Meat and drink will be provided.

 

¨ Please sign the sheet on the UCSC bulletin  board  next  to  Charley’s office if you plan to attend.
