Family Evening

Psalm 133:1

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”

Psalm 95:1, 6-7

“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. . . . Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.”

5:00 p.m. this Sunday, May 18

Although we rejoice in the accomplishments of our Life Groups and the weekly 5:00 p.m. worship at our church building, we also celebrate our oneness in Spirit by coming together on Sunday evening for special times of worship and fellowship.  Therefore, this Sunday our Life Groups are coming together with the evening worship.  From 5:00-5:30 p.m., Danny Claiborne will lead in praise and worship.  Following this, hot dogs with all the fixins’ and desserts will be prepared for us in the downstairs fellowship hall.  Under the direction of Roy Hawkins, our youth & family minister, games and activities will be provided to encourage further fellowship and family togetherness.  The Life Groups have volunteered to provide food, set-up, clean-up and provide games and activities inside and outside on the parking lot.  “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose” (Philippians 2:1-2).

       basement.

As you can see, we have a number of projects that need to be completed this summer.  If you have skills in any of the areas listed above we could really use your help on the 31st.  If you would like to take on any of the above projects, please contact me prior to the 31st so we can identify the items you will need in order to do the job.
